Es Molinar is a small town between Palma end Can Pastilla. There is no special borders, as it is now a part of greater Palma. There is here a small cove, a yacht harbour and hotel Portixol. 20 years ago this area was not reckoned to be a good place to live. The small houses along the beach would sell for 5000 Pound Sterling. This has now all changed. The photos are from a late afternoon in the month of May. Along the small waterfront you find many restaurants and bars. Younger people seem to like this place. You have from this place the view of the sun setting over the mountains. Apart from this small coastal stretch, Es Molinar is pretty overpopulated, and the traffic is dense. Construction has started in 2008 on the new congress centre nearby. This will give a further boost to the area. Best time to visit here is spring and autumn. July August will be crowded and the beach is not very big. |
