Tossals verds 0 - Mallorca

Tossals Verds is an old estate in the Tramuntana mountains. It is now converted to a "refugio", sleeps 35. Only few double rooms. On this we made a day trip. We had phoned and made reservations for lunch, and then we went same way back. However many variations can be made. Some walk on to Soller, some visit the aqua duct Font des Prat. Tourist office can supply a brochure. It is about 1 hr. walk. Up hill all the way, but very easy to follow, forest road all the way. Needless to say it is hot here during summer, else it is a all year trip.

This is the place where you must leave the car. Not to much space. To the right of this picture there is a large farm. Ahead, you can see the valley, we must enter.

Entering the valley leading to Tossals Verds. There is a dry river here. Most of the rain water from this area is now collected in the water reservoirs.

The road is easy to follow, but it is up hill all the way.

Lunch is a local dish called "Arroz Brut", and wine. After coffee and a small dessert. All delicious. Price about 10 Euro each.
