Tossals Verds is an estate that dates back to 16 th century. It is situated in the hart of the Tramuntana mountains.  The nature is unspoilt. You enter from the south through steep mountain sides. There is a "refugio" where lunch can be taken ( call first for booking). It is about 1 1/4 hr fairly easy walking.

Tossals Verds. The old farm, now renovated and converted to a "refugio". Room for some 30 people, most in big dorm, but also double rooms available. This is part of "Dry stone wall route", that eventually will go all along the north west cost of Mallorca.

In the beginning of February the "Almendros" are in blossom. An estimated of 7 million trees makes the island look as if covered with frost. It last approximately 3 weeks, and is a spectacular sight.

A snow blizzard is a rare event on Mallorca. Here is the small village of Puigpunyent in January.
