This walk start from Puigpunyent, on the SW part of Mallorca. From Puigpunyent follow the road signs towards Esporles. Just as you are leaving town, you se another road sign next  to a small utility house. Here you walk straight up the small road.

After 20 minutes you can see in front of you the large Son Fortesa estate. The road is circling the tall walls, and at the other side look for the small wood signs that leads you into the woods, and uphill.

The route is part a track and part a forest road. It is easy to follow. The first part is actually the old road to Estrellencs. Making the road distance to Palma a lot shorter than it is today. Also, as the pharmacy was in Puigpunyent, the shortest route to buy medicine.

The route to Estrellencs is not marked, and we follow the marked route that leads us back to Puigpunyent in a big circle.

The total walking time is about 4 hours. It is a very hot area during the summer month. A  sunny day during spring, autumn or winter, is the best time to do this walk.
