PUIG DE GALATZO
Drive to Puigpunyent. Distance from Palma is 14 km. Once there turn left towards Gallilea. 400 meters in this direction , and just after the church, you will se a sign. La Reserva Puig de Galatzo. Now follow the signs and after 3.2 km you get to a Y junction with an other sign. The left road leads to La Reserva, the right turn lead to Galatzo. After an other 2.2 kilometer you take a right turn (second road). A few hundred meters down you can park. From here the walking starts. You find a old stone well at this point.
First stop is "the saddle". There is a path leading halfway through a wooded area. Out in the open you can see the destination. Look back now and again so you can find the way back to the car. Once arriving at "the saddle" you   follow the track on the north side. The view is fantastic, but it is not easy walking. Beware that the temperatures can drop suddenly in the winter, and also you can enter low lying clouds. Best time is spring and autumn for this trip. The trip up will last 2-3 hr, down is aprox. 1 hr. Bring something to drink. Remember you have to get down again, do not use all your strength to get to the top. Several times I only made it to "the saddle".
Update 2003. There is now a watchman tower built  by "the saddle" Also wood signs have been placed to mark the route. The route down towards Estellencs is marked now as well.
