Balitx d'Vall is a valley is Sierra
Tramontana, near Soller. Here you find a small rustic hostal. You can
book and stay the night, or just enjoy a lunch. The trip is part of the coming
100 km long "Tour de pared sec" that is being organized along
the NW coast of Mallorca.. continue
The starting point is restaurante Mirador de
ses Barques. There is parking and the bus is stopping here as well. It
is aprox 4 Km. from Soller on the road leading to Lluc. Look on the
Kilometer marking stones. This is Km 44.8.
From here there is a splendid view over
Puerto de Soller and surrounding mountains.
There are signs to follow all the way
After 1.5 Km. you get to Bālitx d'Amunt.
Here you pass through the gate and now you are entering the valley of
Balitx.

the left you see the pass where the route is leading onvard to Cala
Tuent and Sa Calobra. In the summer you can then take a boat back to
Soller.
We were visiting the well. This is a good
place to stop and rest if it is hot. However this trip is made in
February, so we don`t stay long.
Following the road you are passing the ruin
of the olive oil mill, Bālitx d'Mig.
We have reached our destination, called
Bālitx d'Avall. Here we had made reservation for lunch.

around and study this old building and the surroundings.
We were lucky with the weather, sun all day.
However in the winter time you must be prepared for sudden change in
weather.
